Map the damaged component
A front panel, sliding door, shelf and glass top can use different specifications within one cabinet. Photograph the whole case, the damaged component and any labels or hardware. Protect the surrounding area and avoid handling loose fragments. Include locks, tracks and bonded joints that may affect removal.
Match operation and presentation
Glass thickness, edge finish, cut-outs and tint must suit the existing assembly. Lighting and neighbouring panels can make small appearance differences visible. Coordinate access around stock removal and trading hours. Where the frame or fittings are distorted, the repair may involve more than a replacement pane.
