Residential glass / Project guidance
Double-pane glass units
Double-pane window glass is commonly assembled as a sealed unit. When that assembly is damaged or appears foggy inside, an enquiry should distinguish the glass problem from the condition of the surrounding window.
Request a quoteService suitability, location coverage and scheduling must be confirmed for your project.

Locate the condensation or cloudiness
Moisture between panes is different from condensation on the room-side surface. Note whether the appearance changes with weather and whether the surface can be wiped without approaching damaged glass. These observations help describe the issue but do not replace an assessment. The proposed remedy should follow the cause rather than a general assumption about foggy windows.
Check the sash and replacement specification
A replacement unit needs to fit the existing glazing arrangement, including its overall thickness and any requirements for the glass itself. Frame condition, existing coatings and appearance also matter. Replacing a unit does not automatically include new frames, trim or operating hardware, so these should be identified separately if they are part of the project.

Questions before
the next step.
Can the existing frame stay?
Possibly, if it remains suitable and can accept the replacement unit. The condition and construction of the window need to be reviewed first.
Is drilling or defogging the same as a new sealed unit?
No. A new sealed-unit replacement is a different scope. This enquiry does not promise a defogging treatment or restoration of an existing unit’s performance.
